Professional Classes
ACT – An Adoption and Permanency Curriculum for Child Welfare and Mental Health Professionals
More than 6,000 child welfare and mental health professionals have completed ACT, which is recognized as a model curriculum for the industry. Attendees typically include social workers, therapists and other professionals working with members of the adoption constellation and other permanency options. In a recent survey of performance outcomes, 93% of former participants agreed that they are better able to prepare families to expect and handle crisis points in the adoptive life cycle as a result of taking ACT. Click here to review a summary of survey results from former participants.
We host classes in Salinas, CA & Santa Ana, CA, and also travel statewide and nationally to teach ACT when sponsored by one or more organizations. ACT is delivered in eight sessions, and is eligible for 48 hours of Continuing Education Units (CEUs).
The registration for the ACT training in Sacramento is closed. Please check back here soon for future class offerings.
